My Background

I am a fine artist currently based in the North Fork Valley of Western Colorado, where I operate my business, Robin Arthur Art. After earning my BFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas, I initially remained connected to my alma mater, serving as a Marketing Director for the College of Education. During my tenure in Denton, I was also active in the local arts community, notably serving as the Program and Exhibition Director for the Greater Denton Arts Council.

My professional art career took flight in San Antonio, where I specialized in vibrant custom pet portraits. These early works were heavily influenced by the colors and iconography of Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) holiday. My work in San Antonio includes a public mural of a mythical Texas jackalope, created in collaboration with the nonprofit San Anto Cultural Arts.

In 2017, my journey took me to a transformative artist residency at Elsewhere Studios in Paonia, a small town on Colorado's Western Slope known for its organic farms, wineries and a thriving arts scene. Immersed in the rural beauty of the North Fork Valley, I transitioned from studio-focused pet portraits to capturing local farm animals and the dramatic mountain vistas of the West Elk Wilderness. I also began painting expressive abstracts with a nod to the Mid Century Modern design era.

After years of creating and selling original artwork and custom pet portraits, my natural affinity for animals combined with my strong administrative skills has evolved into an additional source of income through providing these services for clients. I now offer reliable house and pet sitting across Colorado’s Western Slope, bringing peace of mind to your home and furry friends.

Throughout the operation of my business, I have remained highly motivated and organized, personally managing all marketing, website design, copy editing and administrative responsibilities. Alongside my house and pet sitting services, I now apply these skills to help other small businesses with similar needs. I also run a successful Etsy store with excellent reviews and maintain an online gallery showcasing my work.
